Erin Bruno is the coordinator of the Rutgers University’s Behavioral Research and Training Institute’s, Social Decision Making Program (SDM). SDM is an evidenced based program for social emotional learning and has been named an Exemplary Evidenced Based Social Emotional Learning Program by CASEL as well as receiving awards from U.S. Department of Education and the Juvenile Justice Commission.
Bruno delivers training and consultation to teachers, mental health professionals, youth and families in the area of social emotional learning which includes skills for selfregulation, self/social awareness, problem solving/critical thinking and conflict resolution. She has assisted in the writing and publishing of the Social Decision Making and Problem Solving Curriculum.
Currently Bruno is working with several schools developing Trauma Informed Care programs for teachers. She is also working with Rutgers Department of Psychology and the College of St. Elizabeth on an online course for a social and emotional credential for teachers.
