This intensive one-day training, presented by Josh MacNeill, Director of NeuroLogic Initiative at Lakeside in North Wales, Pa., will provide an initial introduction to a trauma-informed approach to working with students. The session will provide a basic overview of the brain and neural-development and an understanding of trauma and its impact on the brain. Participants will then explore many practical solutions to improve neural wiring and to bring out students’ best potential.
This training is appropriate for helping professionals working with grades K-12.

Continuing Education Credits
Act 48 Credits
Act 48 professional development credit will be provided for those with Pennsylvania teaching or administrative certificates. Participants MUST attend the course from beginning to end and list their professional personnel identification (PPID) number on the appropriate Act 48 paperwork. If you are interested in receiving Act 48 credit, check the appropriate box on the registration form. Retrieve your PPID number from PERMS.
National Association of Social Workers Credits
The Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) will award credits for completion of the two-day course. A certificate fee of $15 for NASW members and $30 for non-members will be charged and can be paid directly to the Association. Packets will be available at the event.
For out-of-state attendees, a certificate of completion will be provided that documents the number of professional development hours spent in the training.

There is a registration fee of $249 per person; fee includes lunch.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Refunds (minus a $25 administrative/processing fee) will be granted to registrants who cancel their registration 30 business days prior to the event via Center for the Promotion of Social and Emotional Learning.
- Refunds will not be provided to registrants who neither cancel nor attend the event. Confirmed registrants who are unable to attend the event may send a substitute in their place at no additional cost. Substitution information must be received by Center for the Promotion of Social and Emotional Learning no less than two full business days before the start of the event.
- Center for the Promotion of Social and Emotional Learning reserves the right to cancel any event 15 business days prior to the event date if the minimum number of participants has not been met. If the event is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund.
